Be Yourself

But my dove, my perfect one, is unique.” — Song of Solomon 6:9

Beloved, do you know what moves me every time I look at creation? There are no duplicates. Not a single rose blooms the same as another. No two snowflakes fall with the same pattern. Even the great works of art — the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo — each exists as one and only.

And so do you.

A woman’s true beauty doesn’t arrive when she copies the world around her. It blooms when she turns inward, finds herself, and begins to love the details that make her distinct. Until then, she risks being a shadow, unnoticed, another face in the crowd.

But when a woman chooses to live as herself? She becomes unforgettable.

We live in a world that trains us early to imitate. To mold ourselves after celebrities, after friends, after whatever image is presented as “ideal.” We learn that to stand apart is risky, that to be different is dangerous. And so many women shrink. They try to fit into a form that was never made for them.

But my dear, conformity is not your ally. It dulls your light. It keeps you common when you were born extraordinary.

Your peculiarities, your quirks, your so-called flaws — they are not accidents. They are the brushstrokes of the Divine Artist.

Think of it: Marilyn Monroe’s curves, Greta Garbo’s “too big” feet, Angelina Jolie’s once-unconventional features. Each of these women leaned into what made them different, and those very things became their crown.

So what about you? What feature, what habit, what little spark sets you apart? Could it be your eyes, the way they hold emotion? Your voice, the way it carries warmth? Your stature, tall or petite, each carrying its own power?

This week, I invite you to pause before the mirror. Look not with criticism, but with curiosity. Ask: What about me is mine alone? What is the mark of the Beloved upon me?

Dress, adorn, and carry yourself in a way that feels like home to your soul — not in the way “everyone’s wearing it.” For the truth is, when you allow yourself to be fully you, the right people, the right love, the right opportunities will recognize you.

The world does not need another copy. It needs you.

And when you claim your uniqueness, you step into the Advanced Femme — a woman who doesn’t follow the crowd, but dances to the rhythm of her own current.

Be brave, my dove. Be rare. Be known.

Because there is only one you. And that is the miracle.
